Launching a New Chapter for Cessnock!
G'day Cessnock! I'm Quintin King, your Lead Independent ward B candidate for the upcoming Council election. Ward B includes East of Nulkaba, most of Cessnock, Aberdare, Kearsley and Neath. It's time we bring a new vision and strong representation to our beautiful LGA.
About me:
I've been living in Cessnock about 5 years, travelling out to the upper Hunter to work as a plant mechanic. Proud blue collar worker, husband and father of 2. I've previously worked in the road construction industry for a number of years and I also have financial experience in commercial real estate and stock trading. I've been advocating for more police presence in the area and for building a ring road or by pass. I have been actively involved and vocal about the Save Wollombi Road campaign as well, to help businesses and residents have their voice heard on this important issue.
Why I'm Standing:
Cessnock deserves a voice that addresses the issues that matter most to us. From deteriorating road conditions to challenges in our financial position, we need more community engagement and it's time for action.
What I'm going to do for you:

OUT ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL
We have coffee meetings every Friday morning in the IGA shopping centre at "The Nock Café" to make ourselves available to the community whether you want to talk about anything specific or just have a chat and meet me, I try to be there as often as I can.
